Another beautiful Senior

Kendelly is sooo beautiful.  And she was not afraid to get down and dirty.  Thanks for being such a great sport.  She is also very ambitious, she graduated this month. I wish you the best of luck with all you do. You go girl!

This was my favorite "eyes" picture. Doesn't she have beautiful eyes. Kendelly you rock. Thanks for letting me photograph you.

Mysterious girl...

Girl you have some of the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen.

I loved how the fall colors turned out.

I see a model or actress in the near future...

And this one is also one of my favorites. I just loved the effect the clouds created in the background.

I played with some textures in photoshop to give it that antique look.

Baby Boys are Cute!

Meet Chayse! This little boy was soo much fun.  Just look at those cute little body parts.

The picture below is one of my favorite pictures of all time. I just loved his sweet expression and the lighting on the chair just made it more dramatic.

This was another favorite one of mine. I just loved how he was playing with his legs.

Mommy & Me

I love the innocence in those beautiful big eyes

How cute are these baby hats

High School Cutie!

Tynia was soo much fun.  We tried alot of different stuff and she was totally into it. You look gorgeous.

Doesn't Tynia have a cute style?

And The Winner Is:

Well I can't give any names, but with their permission I will post their story later on. What I can tell you is that the person that nominated this family is so selfless.  She didn't care about the free photo session that she won, instead she will donate her session to another family in need. How great is that! Thanks for all your submissions and I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
And Thank You so much to everyone that helped with this challenge. We (as photographers) donated more than $500,000 worth of photography. GREAT JOB!

THE SEASON OF GIVING CHALLENGE - SO I AM GIVING!

I've been thinking about giving back to the community for a while and a photographer in PA named Kristen Kalp who owns Essential Imagery challenged the photography community to give back this holiday season to a family in need.  In less than 24 hours she had a ton of photographers join in on the challenge.

I've ACCEPTED the challenge, but now its your turn to do your part! (Thanks to Kristen for letting us borrow her words :) )

THE SEASON OF GIVING CHALLENGE
Tis the season to be jolly, a time to celebrate, to spend with loved ones, and have laughter in the home.  But for others it is a time of struggle.

You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this Holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty. And by family, I mean a “traditional” family, or a single-parent family, grandparent(s) raising their grandkids, pretty much any reasonable definition of “family”. In other words, you don’t have to be married with 2.5 kids to be eligible!

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography – $500 worth, to be exact. This includes a 2 hour session at any location of their choice within Las Vegas or surrounding areas, 3 custom designed DVD slideshows, a high resolution CD with all the images from the session with full printing rights, and a printing credit.  It’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a FREE 2 hour session, 1 custom designed DVD slideshow, and a printing credit! What better reason to show some love could there possibly be?

THE RULES:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The nominee must reside in the Las Vegas Valley. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve to be treated to a professional photo session and free prints. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

You must e-mail me the full story at wendhyjeffers@gmail.com
A paragraph or two would be great. Please include your contact information along with the contact information of the person you are nominating. By submitting, you give me permission to publish the winning submission letter but I will NOT publish ANY names or photos!

Comment on the post comment section to let me know you've entered. :)

Myself and all of the other photographers involved in this are doing it out of the kindness of our hearts. We will be making the final decisions on the “winners” and ask that you please respect our decisions.

The photo shoots will take place in January of 2009.

The winner will be announced on my Blog on Christmas Eve…get nominating! The deadline is December 22 at Midnight (pst). I can’t wait to read all of your entries!

Open your heart to someone this holiday season – and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.

With love,

Wendhy

Amber & Alexa

Thanks soo much for letting me photograph you.  You two remind me of me and my mom.  There is just a huge amount of love between the two of them.  Alexa is a shy little girl, but boy does she love to smile! We had a lot of fun and I tried some new ideas.  I really liked how the pictures turned out, enjoy....

Look at Alexa's beautiful eyes! I wonder what she was thinking about?

Played around with some textures and I loved what it did to the pictures

Meet the Chatelains ("THE HOME TEACHERS")

I just have to say that I love my ward! I don't know what it is about it, but everyone is so involved its amazing.  :) The Chatelains are one of our home teachers and they're always showing love and concern for our family.  They're an amazing family, just look how cute they look. You can immediately feel the bond between Johan & Josie.  Thanks for letting me photograph your family, hope you guys had fun, I know I did!

There is nothing more exciting that throwing your kid up in the air....

Look how cool Jonah looks.
Josie seems very independent, just doing her own thing :)
